No More Homeless Pets (NMHP) is not an organization.  NMHP is a phrase or slogan recognized by groups nationwide as representing people committed to lowering the death rate of so many animals a year in their respective communities.  A grassroots movement emerged and has taken root in many areas of the country.  Thanks to the Internet ideas and programs began to be formed and solutions took shape.  There are now dozens of programs in operation from Oregon to Florida.  Sadly, for a state that demonstrates a lust for so much glitter and entertainment Florida has one of the worst records of all for companion pet euthanasia.

Instead of steadily increasing year after year we want to see euthanasia numbers go down.  It will take a change of mind and we all know how hard it is to make changes when we are comfortable with things the way they are.  However, any reasonable person not withstanding, cannot justify this enormous death toll without taking action to change it even if that reasonable person is a  non-pet owner.  We are now so overwhelmed by the numbers that it is a moral issue that cannot be swept away.  If there is a way out there to bring about significant change we are guided by conscience to at least consider it ........without prejudice.

To reach the awareness point that will make a significant difference in animals entering shelters a 70% sterilization must be achieved.  Make 'save the animals, spay/neuter your pet' a household phrase well understood from Grandma to Grand kids.  Our goal is to build a high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter clinic here in Central Florida.  We need everyone's help from volunteering to donations.  May we count on your support?
